Poetry:  Friendship's Ark

Friendship’s Ark

Friendship is an ark,

The world is the sea,

When the water grows turbulent,

That ark shall still accept thee,

The storm, the waves, such a horrid event,

How could any person stand such torment,

But here, on this ark, friendship prevails,

It gives balance to the deck, and winds to the sails,

Friendship’s ark cannot sink, though it may often sway,

Thanks go to the Lord, who grants us another day,

On this next day, friendship’s hull shall right,

Once again, the familiar deck is bathed in glorious light,

Upon this ark, one man, alone, cannot stand,

There is room for another, if they will accept friendship’s hand.
